Why CorAeon

A root cause approach to men’s health.

Most men arrive having already run labs and been told nothing is wrong. Our approach is different by design. We assess more, interpret deeper, and build every protocol around what your biology actually shows.

What Sets Us Apart

The Conventional Approach

Our Approach

Hormone Assessment Depth

x Total testosterone measured against a broad population range

Total and free testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, and estradiol interpreted together as a complete picture

Thyroid Evaluation

x TSH in isolation, often missing the full clinical story

Full thyroid panel including free T3, free T4, reverse T3, and antibodies to assess function not just levels

Metabolic and Longevity Markers

x Standard lipid panel and fasting glucose

Advanced lipid fractionation, ApoB, insulin resistance, and inflammatory markers that reflect long term cardiovascular and metabolic risk

Adrenal and Stress Response

x Assessed only when disease is suspected

Diurnal cortisol rhythm, DHEA, and adrenal reserve evaluated as part of every comprehensive workup

Care Model

x Single provider, limited appointment time, volume driven practice

Physician led, multidisciplinary team including NP, compounding pharmacist, and functional nutritionist working in concert

Protocol Design

x Standardized treatment or watchful waiting

Every protocol is built from scratch around your biomarkers, symptoms, history, and longevity goals

Ongoing Optimization

x Annual checkups with little adjustment between visits

Scheduled follow ups, repeat biomarker tracking, and proactive protocol refinement over time

Your Path Forward

Your path to optimized health.

Our program follows a structured four step process designed to identify what is actually driving your symptoms and build a protocol around what we find, not around a population average.

1

Comprehensive Clinical Intake and Evaluation

Your journey starts with a dedicated consultation where your physician reviews your full medical history, symptoms, and prior lab work to establish a clear baseline before anything is ordered.

2

The Men’s Health and Longevity Diagnostic Suite

A detailed panel covering hormones, thyroid, metabolic markers, cardiovascular risk, nutrients, and inflammation, designed to surface what standard labs routinely overlook in men.

3

Your Personalized Care Plan

Based on your results, your physician builds a protocol designed specifically for your biology. This may include testosterone and thyroid optimization, pharmaceutical-grade nutraceuticals, and targeted lifestyle changes.

4

Continuous Clinical Oversight

Your care does not stop after your first visit. Structured follow-ups and repeat lab testing allow your physician to track your progress and adjust your protocol as your body responds.

Who We Help

Care that meets you where you are.

Testosterone begins declining at 30 at roughly 1 to 2 percent per year. What that means clinically and what your program looks like depends entirely on your age, your biology, and how far the shift has progressed. Select your decade below.

Ages 35 to 44

The decline has already started. Most men don't know it yet.

Testosterone has been declining since your early 30s. The cumulative drop is still modest but the effects are showing up: slower recovery, subtle energy shifts, body composition starting to change. Most men in this group attribute it to stress or a busy life. Getting ahead of it at this stage produces the strongest long term outcomes.

1 to 2%

Annual testosterone decline beginning around age 30
Travison et al., Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2007

1.2%/yr

Average annual decline confirmed in the Massachusetts Male Aging Study across nearly two decades
Massachusetts Male Aging Study, Carie Boyd Pharmaceuticals review, 2025

30s

The decade where lifestyle choices most significantly influence the long term rate of hormonal decline
Highland Longevity, Testosterone Levels by Age, 2026

Our approach at this stage

We establish a comprehensive baseline covering hormones, metabolic markers, cardiovascular risk, and thyroid. For many men in this group the goal is not replacement but optimization and early intervention. We build a protocol designed to protect what you have and correct what is already shifting.

Ages 45 to 55

The cumulative drop is now impossible to ignore.

By the mid-40s most men have lost 20 to 30 percent of their peak testosterone. What was subtle in your 30s is now showing up clearly. Standard panels often miss it because they measure total testosterone but not free testosterone and SHBG, which tell the full story of what your body can actually use.

20 to 30%

Peak testosterone lost by age 50 in most men
Highland Longevity, Testosterone Levels by Age, 2026

1.52x

Increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes in men with low total testosterone, based on a meta analysis of 43,038 men
Springer Endocrine, meta analysis, 2024

50%

Of men aged 40 to 70 experience erectile dysfunction, often an early metabolic warning sign
Mayo Clinic, Collins et al., 2026

Our approach at this stage

We run a comprehensive panel that goes beyond what a standard lab orders: free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, metabolic markers, and cardiovascular indicators. Your protocol is built around the full picture, not a single number. For most men in this group there is meaningful room for correction and the results are measurable.

Ages 55 and Beyond

Hormones, metabolism, cardiovascular health. All in the same picture.

By the mid-50s most men have lost 40 to 50 percent of their peak testosterone. The clinical picture at this stage extends well beyond hormones. Cardiovascular risk, insulin sensitivity, bone density, and cognitive function are all affected. Most men in this group have been told their labs are normal. A comprehensive functional medicine evaluation tells a different story.

40 to 50%

Peak testosterone lost by the mid-50s and beyond, with increasing variation between individuals
Kelsey et al., PLOS ONE, 2014

2.07x

Higher risk of premature death in men with low testosterone, based on NHANES national cohort data
PMC, National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey analysis, 2021

21%

TLower all cause mortality risk for every standard deviation increase in testosterone, controlling for age, BMI and blood pressure
Khaw et al., Circulation, 2007

Our approach at this stage

This is where the integrated care model matters most. Your physician evaluates hormones alongside metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, and cognitive markers simultaneously. The protocol is designed to address all of it in coordination. This is not a single prescription. It is a comprehensive program built for where you actually are.

Patient Experiences

Heard directly from our patients.

These are real accounts from men who came to CorAeon having already tried the conventional route and found something meaningfully different here.

I was 44 and my primary care doctor told me everything looked fine. Dr. Campanile ran a panel that found three things I had never been tested for. Six weeks into the protocol and the difference was undeniable.

R.M.Patient, Livingston NJ

The fact that a pharmacist actually reviews your supplements and medications before they finalize the protocol is something I have never experienced anywhere else. That level of detail is rare.

D.T.Patient, Short Hills NJ

I had been gaining weight and losing energy for three years. The lab panel they ran identified insulin resistance and low free testosterone together. Treating both changed everything. This practice is the real thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions, straightforward answers.

How do I know if my testosterone levels are low?

The only reliable way to know is through comprehensive lab testing, and not all panels are equal. Symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, reduced drive, body composition changes, and poor sleep can all point toward hormonal imbalance, but they are not diagnostic on their own. Many men with clinically low free testosterone still fall within the broad “normal” range on a standard total testosterone test. At CorAeon we run a full panel covering total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, LH, FSH, and additional metabolic markers, so the picture is complete before any protocol is designed. If you are in New Jersey, New York, or Florida, you can schedule an initial consultation at our Caldwell, NJ clinic or virtually.

Is hormone optimization the same as TRT?

No. Testosterone replacement therapy is one possible intervention within a broader hormone optimization program, but the two are not the same thing. TRT addresses testosterone specifically. Hormone optimization looks at the full picture: testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, thyroid, estradiol, cortisol, metabolic markers, and cardiovascular indicators. It builds a protocol around what your biology actually shows. For some men TRT is appropriate. For others the priority is optimizing what is already present, addressing metabolic contributors, or correcting other hormonal imbalances that a testosterone test alone would miss. At CorAeon the goal is never a single prescription. It is a program built around your full clinical picture.

Is this program covered by insurance?

CorAeon is a direct care private practice and does not bill insurance for program fees. This model allows us to spend more time with each patient and design protocols without the constraints of insurance driven care. That said, a portion of your lab work may qualify for reimbursement through your plan depending on coverage. HSA and FSA funds are also typically applicable. We are transparent about pricing from your first visit and will walk you through all costs before anything is ordered.

My doctor already checked my testosterone. Why would this be different?

Standard primary care testosterone testing measures total testosterone and compares it against a broad population reference range. That single number tells you very little about how your body is actually using available testosterone. Our panel goes significantly further, evaluating free testosterone, sex hormone binding globulin, estradiol, LH, FSH, thyroid markers, and metabolic indicators that together reveal what a basic panel cannot. A result that falls within the normal range on a standard test can still reflect significant functional imbalance when the full picture is examined. Most men who come to CorAeon have already been told their levels are fine. Our evaluation often tells a different story.

How long before I may notice results from a men's hormone optimization program?

Response timeline varies based on your baseline biology, the complexity of your case, and the specific interventions involved. Many men report meaningful improvements in energy, sleep quality, and mental clarity within 6 to 10 weeks of beginning a protocol. Body composition changes and deeper hormonal shifts typically become measurable over 3 to 6 months. At CorAeon biomarkers are tracked at every follow up visit so progress is documented and adjustments are made based on data, not just how you feel.

Where is CorAeon located and who can become a patient?
